Maria Rutland is a Presbyterian minister currently serving a congregation in Indiana. Her talk centered on the ministry of Nellie Mann Opdale, a Universalist minister working in rural Georgia. Forty-four years after Opdale’s death, Dr. Rutland came into possession of her scrapbook documenting Opdale’s pastoral work and the work of the Women’s Ministerial Conference (1874-1914).
